Book Launch: “Vägen Ut” 20/11

Book Launch: “Vägen Ut” (“The Way Out”)
Grand Hotel, Lund
Friday, 20 November
8:00 pm

Join us for the launch of “Vägen Ut”! The evening will feature a discussion about the book, live music, and the chance to mingle with authors and artists.

It rarely begins with a blow. Often, it begins with love, closeness and a feeling of finally being seen. Then the boundaries shift, almost imperceptibly. Care turns into control, jealousy becomes proof of love, and your own sense of reality becomes increasingly difficult to hold on to.

In “Vägen Ut”, we follow Nadja through a relationship that changes, step by step.

The book weaves together fiction, facts, personal experiences, images and music. Through Nadja’s story, it reveals the dynamics of abuse—and why it can be so difficult to understand what is happening, speak about it and leave. It is a story about what so often happens in silence.

It is also a story of resistance, compassion and hope. Because there is a way out. And no one should have to walk that path alone.

“Vägen Ut – mot våld i nära relationer” (“The Way Out – Against Domestic Abuse”) is a project that aims to help people in abusive relationships feel less alone, and perhaps take the first step towards leaving.

We are Danne Falck (songwriter, musician and producer) and Stina Willquist (author, songwriter and therapist), the people behind the project. We have both experienced abusive relationships ourselves.

Through music and words, we want to help people living in abusive relationships feel less alone and perhaps find their own way out.

Admission is free. Places are limited.
