Piratensalen

Fritiof Nilsson Piraten, a legendary writer from Skane, Sweden’s southern

County has a special place the Grand Hotel’s heart. He began writing only in the 1930s and debuted with his 1932 book, ‘Bombi Bitt and me’.

The book was an amazing success, after which Piraten abandoned the legal profession and wrote another success with the title ‘Bock Herb Garden’.

The room dedicated to Piraten, was originally a cinema and was called Regina. It later became a part of the Grand Hotel. Today it is an auditorium that can accommodate 170 people.

You can conveniently host lectures, debates, seminars and all kinds of events here. It’s equipped with modern technology conveniences and outfitted with comfortable cinema chairs. Don’t miss the beautiful foyer that connects to the room, which makes for an ideal venue for a small exhibition and coffee breaks. This is a perfect place for social gatherings under the glimmering light of the crystal chandelier.
